Sketching in Savannah

I drove up to Savannah, Georgia this weekend with my mom.

And of course,

the one day we decide to finally go for a nice quiet southern stroll…

the town is overrun.

We probably should’ve checked beforehand to make sure one of the biggest St. Patrick’s day parades wasn’t going on.

It was.

So we stayed inconspicuous and dodged the green mob that pushed, yelled and drunkenly spilled their green beer.

Savannah: walked through the beautiful city, ate lots of southern food (thank you Paula Deen!) and sketched at a nearby park.

new pencils; so smooth and easy to work with.

I had no idea it was even a popular spot for St. Patricks… who knew? Still gorgeous, regardless! Thank you for reading!

Been a popular spot for years. I enjoyed the St. Patrick days celebration in 1996-2000. A good and safe place to be. Have fun and be safe.
